Samuel Adams: Cold Snap

We’re about to have a cold snap tomorrow, but it’s in the totally opposite direction of Samuel Adam’s new seasonal offering!

Cold Snap is to cue the transition from winter to spring. Sadly, we’re not there yet. Now while the seasons are askew, Cold Snap is just right. It’s a white ale, and while I like white ales, I’ve not been into them for some time. This may change. While Cold Snap has that nice malty wheat character, the undercurrent of spice and orange make it interesting.

I was pleasantly surprised. Now I wish the weather would surprise me too and warm up.

Note: Cold Snap was provided to me by Samuel Adams. It’s available nationwide now, which I can confirm as I saw it on the shelf while I was at Kroger buying my storm staples: milk and bread.
