A Couple of Birds - After such great success with the rotisserie, I decided to step things up a notch for the weekend and try two birds. One bird was prepared traditionally...meaning a good rub worked under the skin with some butter added for extra points. The second bird was placed in a brine. Although it was only brined for ten hours, the final product was wonderful. IMO, the brined bird won out. In the picture above, the brined bird is in the back. The honey from the brine mixture nicely caramelized the bird as well.

Oh yes...and plenty of vegetables...including the obligatory asparagus.
