Scenery and Beer

Bob and I are both lucky to celebrate photography as a hobby. For years he has traveled the island photographing its beauty. He knows its ins and outs and understands how important good light is to a photograph. Although we struggled with the light, we didn't struggle with locations. So, in between enjoying the pubs and drinking great beer, we took some photographs too:

Bob also got his fair share of fun taking pictures of me....which is something that usually doesn't happen. Take for instance my shot of Badger's Hopping Hare.

Badger's Hopping Hare

Billed as a "triple hopped ale", I was quite jazzed to try it out. I have enjoyed many a Badger beer before, and had high hopes that were unfortunately left a little short. Although Hopping Hare had a nice hop presence, it was not the level I hoped for. Instead, I had a spicy aftertaste which lingered on my lips for sometime after my last sip. A good beer, but not great.

Now while I was setting up this shot, Bob got somewhat freaked out, as I went to the front yard to capture the much better available light. Yup, out front all the neighbors and passerby's could see this "little man", as Bob called me, snapping pictures from the sidewalk pavement. Bob hid inside and let loose with shutter. Yes, I may have been "busted", but I got my shot.
