Get Your Nuptials On: Brewlywed Ale
Eat, Drink Beer and be Married...
The Samuel Adams Brewery is hosting an event, which for some, might be the event of a lifetime. On June 26, 2013, Samuel Adams will be releasing Brewlywed Ale. This limited release beer is a Belgian-style "bride ale." With just 300 cases brewed, it will only be available at the Boston Brewery on the 26th.
I enjoyed a bottle with friends on Sunday. It was a great mix of floral and spice. A solid beer we really enjoyed.
While a specialty beer is always something to get excited about, Jim Koch, is taking it a step further. Not only can you pick up the beer, you can also tie the knot.
With Jim acting as best man and a justice of the peace on site, lucky visitors can be married in the Samuel Adams' brewery hop garden. Additional activities include live music, beer pairing suggestions for wedding menus, local wedding vendors, on-site giveaways of Samuel Adams merchandise, a toast from Jim Koch, and expert advice from TheKnot.com.
Guests can start to line up at 7 AM. The first fifty people in line will have the opportunity to buy a bottle of Brewlywed Ale signed by Jim. The first twenty people who show up decked in bridal attire for their special occasion get bumped to the front of the line.
The event runs from 9 AM to last call at 1 PM. When the doors close, any additional bottles and cases of beer can be bought in the brewery gift shop until 4 PM. However, once it's gone, it's gone.
Grab your tux, your veil, and make plans for Boston this coming Wednesday. Jim has some beer for you.
Note: Brewlywed Ale was provided to me by the wedded bliss at Samuel Adams.
