Happy St. Patrick's Day!

While St. Patrick’s Day is typically all things Guinness, I would be remiss in not posting a holiday themed drink based on the bellwether Irish stout.  It’s not a day for Guinness, it’s a day for Mini-Guinnis!

I’m not a big shot guy, as I love to actually taste what it is I’m drinking. That being said, I won’t pass them up, either.  My friend Gary happens to be a shot guy, which is where I picked up a liking for these delicious little morsels.

While they can certainly be shot, they can also be sipped.  It’s like the best of both worlds.

Fill a shot glass with 3/4 of an ounce of Patron XO and then using a spoon as a baffle, 1/4 ounce of Bailey’s Irish Creme.

Once the creme settles, the Mini-Guinness forms.  Even my non-spirit friends find this little 1 ounce gem an awesome dessert.

On a St. Patrick’s Day whim, I also picked up some Irish Mist.
