Grilled Turkey Tips
Thanksgiving is almost a week away tomorrow, which means if turkey is your thing, this is your time.
My grilling has been non-stop lately for a variety of projects, which means I'm 3 turkeys down and Thanksgiving isn't even here yet! Thankfully, tomorrow I'm handing the tongs off to Dad. I know he always gets a little worried about managing a big bird on the grill (literally meaning big turkey, not Big Bird). I don't know why. He always does a fabulous job. Tomorrow will be no different.
Every year, more and more people are looking to take their holiday dinners to the backyard and more importantly, to the grill.
Here are some of my tried and true methods I've documented on the Weber blog to ensure a delicious turkey on Thanksgiving (or any time of year!):
Spatchcock Grilled Turkey
There is no better way to ensure not only even cooking, but a faster cook, than with a spatchcock. It might look hard, but it's incredibly easy to do.

Smoked Turkey on the Kettle
The kettle is as versatile of a grill as you can get. Not only will it grill, it's great for smoking and nothing gets my heart pumping like the skin of a smoked turkey.

Rotisserie Turkey
I like my meals spun, which speaks to my love of the rotisserie. The self-basting action of the rotisserie is the key to a moist bird. Looking for even more tips, check out my fellow Ohioan, Mike Vrobel of DadCooksDinner.com. You will find tons of turkey tips, as well as his latest cookbook, Rotisserie Turkey. It's great stuff!

Smoked Turkey
Smoked meat is not for everyone, but it is for me. Besides a flavor transformer, smoke makes for some of the most beautiful birds you will ever pull off the grill.
No matter your method, just be sure to take your turkey to the backyard, and not the oven. You may worry about it like my Dad, but your results will be superb, just like his.
