Updates from the grates
While it most certainly does not look like it here, I've got a lot going on and all of it is incredibly exciting.
The grills at home have most definitely been hot.
And I most certainly have not been short on anything to drink.
Samuel Adams new Rebel Grapefruit IPA is superb. If you are already a fan of their west coast IPAs, this one is not to be missed. The addition of grapefruit only accentuates the citrus and floral notes already present. It's going to be a great summer sipper.
Besides everything here, I was lucky to spend some time in LA a few weeks ago working on a new Weber commercial. The spot is due out this spring. It was great having the band back together as we all worked hard to showcase that Weber magic. As always, it's a thrill to be a cog in a dynamic, hardworking, and passionate machine.
I was back to work with the fantastic, Kelsey, who I'm pretty sure white-knuckled it as I drove my way through crazy LA traffic. As usual, our locations covered a pretty wide area, but it wasn't the scenery highlighting our trip, it was the 80 pounds of prime beef standing rib roasts we picked up.
Our friends at A Cut Above Butcher Shop in Santa Monica and Marconda's in West Hollywood went out of their way to make it happen. They take great pride in what they do and it most certainly showed.
So, what do you do with that much meat? Easy, you pose for a picture! Believe it or not, this was one of several "natural" photographs! Thanks to Amy at Weber for capturing this one.
While I've talked about our guerilla grilling before, things really came together for this shoot.
Not only did the production company snag us the same portable sink from last fall, but they also added tables with leg extensions.
We had countertop height tables and they were...fantastic. I'm fairly certain my lower back clapped.
Back home, be sure to check out my post on Pork Tenderloin sliders on the Weber blog. I never really thought about using a pork tenderloin for sliders, but wow, these were fantastic.
If you are looking for something new, they are highly recommended.
Oh yeah, one more thing. This:

Roll on April 6th.
Grill on!
Note:
My friends at Samuel Adams provided me with beer...the frothy opinions are my own. My work for Weber is compensated. My love for Weber comes from my soul. My LA driving is entirely me. Right, Kelsey?
