Garden Time

We have been going on about planting a vegetable garden for some time. Last years herb garden was a huge success. So, with the amount of produce that we buy, it just makes sense. Also, I am tired of picking things up from Kroger that were grown not only out of Ohio, but out of the country. In order to reasonably segue into a garden, we decided to try square foot gardening. Step 1: Build the Frame:

Step 2: Add some landscaping fabric to keep the grass weeds down.

Step 3: Add the soil. Instead of using the traditional 1/3 vermiculite, peat moss, compost, I choose to use a ready mixed combination. Hopefully it works.

Step 4: Add the squares!

Step 5: Sow...and hope we don't have a late frost.
