5 Beers to Christmas: Epic's Hop Zombie

5 Beers to go and on to my other favorite Epic, Epic Beer From New Zealand.  

I have an incredible cadre of friends in New Zealand who sadly, I have yet to met in real life.  They are, as I like to refer to them, our southern hemisphere doppelgängers.  They love grilling, the outdoors, and beer.

Thanks to the magic of Instagram and Flickr, we can live vicariously through each other.  As I shovel snow to get to my Webers, they are preparing for long summer nights with their Webers.  As we prepare for a summer brew day, they are drinking beer watching the snow come down.  Their adventures are our adventures, and it is totally awesome.

Hop Zombie is a citrus hop adventure.  There is a whole lot of grapefruit going on, which I happen to love.  While, hoppy, it’s not overpowering.  An excellent beer.
