8 Beers to Christmas: Shipyard's Imperial Porter
I love Porters. I always have, which I was I instantly gravitated towards Shipyard’s Imperial Porter.
A common beer of 19th century London, it all about died until the late 1970s. For many years, it’s been a style I’ve always come back to. Especially in the winter.
The Imperial Porter tastes of chocolate and raisins with a really nice hop kick. I consider it rather sweet for a porter, but that may be to its higher ABV. All in all, a good beer to help along the cold weather grilling. as well as tonight’s feast, a bone-in pork roast. Cheers.
