From around the grill
I have been more than pleased with our mild weather here in southwest Ohio. Unlike last year’s perpetual snowy gut punch, this year has been a relatively mild walk in the park. While the cold weather and snow never really slows the grilling, it certainly limits the extra time outside.
What have I been drinking?
Thanks to Dan, from Florida, I enjoyed a bottle of Maple Bacon Coffee Porter from Funky Buddha. Simply put, it was fabulous. While I’ve had mixed results with similarly crazy styles from Voodoo Doughnut from Rogue, Funky Buddha’s was a perfect balance. It is just too bad their distribution is limited to the Sunshine State.
What have I been grilling?
Lots…and I mean lots. I’ve been working on a project involving the Weber Q. Outside of learning the ins and outs of this incredibly versatile grilling machine, I’ve been gorging myself every weekend on my spoils. Stay tuned, as there will be a lot more to share about the colored Qs as spring approaches.
Speaking of Weber, be sure to click on over to the blog to check out my most recent additions. There’s a little bit of everything, grilled dates, grilled lettuce, grilled chicken, and of course lots of grilledsteaks. Speaking of winter grilling, here is the snow tips video I filmed last year. I'm hoping in the coming weeks, the tips are completely unneeded!
Even when I feel as if though I need a break from the tongs, dinner time comes around and what do I do? Yeah, fire up the grill.
Tonight was no different. Sure, dinner (and pictures) are work, but a man has got to eat! Thankfully the marinated street tacos were well worth the effort.
