Weber Roundup

In case you are not reading the Weber blog, which really, you should be, here is what I have been working on. It has certainly been a busy year.

Orange Weber Q on Cart

For the most part, 2015 has been all about the Weber Q in Color, which is why I was grilling on it nonstop through late winter and early spring.

Weber Q in Color

My first experience on this portable beast was over a year ago while working on the Unserious Times shoot. I walked away more than impressed.

After grilling with the Q all over the house, and by all over the house, I mean all over the house, I was even more smitten. I've never met a more powerful and versatile grill. My experiences translated into my post, Q to me.

Even though I had plenty of still shots from my cooks, I couldn't help but also capture video. The result was this short video I created. I believe the food speaks for itself.

All of the Q "homework" translated to my work on the Q in color shoot in April. This time we spent a week in Austin, Texas. I worked again with the wonderful Marsha Capen where we worked hard to grill only the absolute best food. This post will take you behind the scenes.

After a 10 hour day of production, grilling, and shooting, here is one of the three spots and by far, because of the rooftop deck overlooking downtown Austin, one of my favorites.

While these projects were most certainly a blast, there's been lots of good solid grilling too: Rotisserie Grilling for Entertaining

Speaking of shoots, it was fun to walk into my local Lowe's this summer and see the large Q in Color display,

which included the photos taken by Paul Elledge and the food grilled by me and Kelsey last fall

Yes, if you were to follow that basting brush up the handle, you would have eventually found my rather dainty wrist.

It is always fun to look back over your shoulder, but I'm more excited about what's ahead. As always, thanks for your comments and support of APP and the Weber blog! Grill on!

Note:

While I've been a Weber griller and fan for almost two decades, I have been compensated for the work I am referencing above. The views and sentiments expressed are obviously my own.
