Giveaway: Breckenridge Summer Pils Picnic Basket

Sponsored Post:

I have historically shied away from giveaways. In fact, I've only done one before. Well, it will soon be two, as Breckenridge Brewery has put up a pretty sweet picnic basket they plan on awarding to a lucky winner here at Another Pint Please. Yes, when beer is involved, I don't need a lot of convincing.

The giveaway is timed for the release of their new seasonal offering, Summer Pils.

Summer Pils is a Bohemian style Pilsner featuring Saaz hops grown in the Czech Republic and American malts grown in the Pacific Northwest. Using traditional pilsner brewing practices, we ensure a delicately balanced beer with a soft, rounded mouthfeel. Saaz hops impart a pleasant aroma that's earthy and floral while lending spicy flavor characteristics and a crisp, dry finish. The end result is a light yet complex, well-balanced and refreshing summertime delight.

I am a fan of interesting, yet not overpowering, warm-weather beers. Yes, I love a Red Strip after a few hours in the yard, but those only go so far. Summer Pils, however, checks my boxes, offering just enough of hopped pilsner edge without the obliterating effects of an IPA. My litmus test is mindlessly grabbing a second after I finished the first. Or was it a third after a second...?

Anyway, the giveaway.

In exchange for the giveaway, Breckenridge Brewery provided me with a six-pack of Summer Pils. I could have actually kept the picnic basket myself in exchange for promotion, but I would rather it go to my readers. Good luck and cheers!
