Not surprisingly,  summer is flying by. While this is prime grilling season for everyone, all of my grilling as of late hasn't been to serve dinner, but to create content for various projects.

It's frenzied and hectic, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Over the last two months, I've grilled upwards of 40 meals for stills and video and traveled back to the Weber "Mother Kettle" twice in support and pursuit of these projects.

I've also updated some classic grilling photos of mine thanks to some dear friends. One of my best friends and his daughter took part in a series for some recent Weber email campaigns.

Stemming from work in the bleakness of winter, it was nice to see some of my stills for Southern Comfort in the wild of warm summer.

Brian and I again participated in our local community "Taste." The Taste is put on by the local Chamber of Commerce and is a marketing vehicle to support and promote local restaurants and caterers. Our grilling demo booth is usually set up next to Hooters, this year we weren't, so Brian may have been more engaged, it's hard to say.

While it poured rain right up to the starting point, the clouds quickly broke, and we had a fantastic evening demonstrating & serving planked salmon, grilled tomahawks, and the perennial favorite stuffed bananas.

On my last trip to Weber, I was lucky to meet my friends Brandon and Randy. Brandon has more passion for Weber than almost anyone I've ever met. He owns over 90 grills from different periods of the brand's storied history. Oh, and did I mention Brandon hooked me up with some great local beer?

Sadly, I'm just going to miss the 6th Annual Weber Kettle Club meetup in August. Last year kettle enthusiasts amassed over 100 kettles just for the event.

In a moment only described as a surreal encounter, I walked into The Weber Grill Restaurant to find one of my sizzle videos for the Weber Summit Charcoal Grill playing in the lobby. My rapt attention to every detail only drew more attention to it. You never know, maybe we sold a grill in the process!

If you are looking for an informative and beautiful website for grilling recipes and mouthwatering photos, check my New Zealand doppelganger, Jamie and his website Fire and Thyme. Jamie has a way of capturing magic behind the lens and his creations on the grill constantly keep me on my toes. I highly recommend it.

With a lull in the action this weekend, I was ready to grill for pleasure, but of course, it rained. While not ideal, the only difference is grilling now involves an umbrella. The show must always go on.
