Relatively Wordless Wednesday

Relatively Wordless Wednesday

Almost 10 years ago, I started a weekly post on Flickr called Ribeye Friday. It was always a gratuitous picture of a ribeye, dripping fat, and shooting flame. As time has gone on, the Ribeye Friday has morphed into Porterhouse Wednesdays, or in this case, Strip Steak Mondays. While the cut and day may rotate, the heart skipping action of beef, fat, flame, and grates of the Weber Grills stays the same.

Last Saturday, me and the guys, or rather, our team, catered the VIP section at the Rose Music Center's Lifehouse/Switchfoot Show. It was a one off, but the 73 pounds of pork we smoked means we are already looking to go back.

The "official" Another Pint Please catering line!

The eight pork butts were packed into my Orca Cooler and held about two hours prior to the event.

One benefit of the Rose Music Center was a walk-in cooler off the prep kitchen. This is what I needed for our Guerilla Grilling

I'm blessed with great friends and even better teammates!

Finally, the Another Pint Please store now has stickers in stock! They are a great way to decorate your beer fridge, grill, or neighbor's mailbox!

Oh, and one last thing, beer! Deschutes is celebrating their birthday again with their Black Butte XXIX.

This imperial porter is brewed with cocoa, Saigon cinnamon, and cayenne, and aged in bourbon and rum barrels. It can be cellared for the fall, or enjoyed, like I did, on a warm summer day. I must say, the heat of the cayenne, and the unmistakable kiss of cinnamon make this year's brew a must have.

NOTE: I am an ambassador for Orca Coolers and Deschutes provided me with a sample of Black Butte.
