Relatively Wordless Wednesday
It’s the time of the week where instead of boring you with bad grammar, I try to dazzle you with photographs. It’s word count versus imagery. As always, I know the winning side!
It’s hard to see, but that is a two-bone standing rib roast. It was pulled at an internal of 125° F after an indirect cook at 400° F and if you followed my Instagram story, it was my kind of medium rare!
The “celebration” of fall starts earlier and earlier every year. I can’t wait to celebrate the 4th of July next year with autumnal color palettes and dried leaf artwork.
While fall beers start to land around early August, I always push off till September 1st. As much as I love a malty marzen or a crazy take on a yam beer, I want to at least see “fall” on my calendar before I kiss summer goodbye. Once the wait is over, one of my favorite cooler weather beers is Southern Tier’s Pumking.
After some serious market saturation the last couple years, it was nice to see Pumking slide out in lesser quantities with some interesting derivatives. The Cold Press Coffee variation is fantastic, with coffee providing the perfect leverage for its sweet backbone.
I’m not looking forward to jeans and jackets, but at least I know what I’m going to eat and drink.
Enjoy your Wednesday.
