Grillography Updates
Summer is running away, which means I'm knocking out as many projects as possible before my warm sunlit nights go away. Thankfully, the weather has been great and I've been busy.
First up are two of my latest Weber Grills short form recipe videos. Ribeyes are near and dear to my heart. Add in a boozy BBQ sauce and well, it's a win-win.
One of the first foods I regularly grilled was beer brats, so it was fun to use a great Jamie Purviance recipe amped up with sauerkraut and jalepenos. There is a reason I've always loved brats and this is it.
Just a few weeks ago, the guys and I were excited to be back at the Rose Music Center catering the VIP section for the ZZ Top show.
Using two 22 inch Weber Smokey Mountain Cookers and Keith's, ahem, ceramic cooking thing, we smoked almost 100 pounds of pork, let alone all of the sides and dessert. The Weber Summit Charcoal Grill added to our on-site work.
It was a fantastic event on a beautiful night. If you travel I-70 between Dayton and Columbus, you can't miss this sprawling amphitheatre.
And oh yeah, ZZ Top.
You may recall last spring I was doing work for Feed the Party. While I've seen it online, I finally got a chance to see their packaging, for which I supplied the images, in person.
It was a great excuse to fire up the grill and shoot some steaks!
Not that I ever need an excuse!
Finally, two of my good friends have started a company called TactiPretty which caters to bad ass warrior women. I spent the day with them capturing images. This picture about sums it up!
Finally, I'm often asked how I manage to do what I do. Thanks to Samuels Adam beer, I finally captured a photo of how.
Cheers!
NOTE: My work for Weber, Feed the Party, & Tactipretty is compensated. Our catering work is not sponsored by Weber and paid for by the Rose Music Center. I hold financial interest in the Boston Beer Company and was provided that cool hat and a few bottles of Octoberfest thanks to my friends at Samuel Adams.
